Misty night

Misty night, oh what a sight
My eyes sharpen like daggers
Piercing
Through the fog like on an open road
But through the shadow, trees and shrubs below
Growing
Under my step, soft, cold and tame
The moss seeps out the rain
Smelling
The black bark, wooden giants
Stand tall, slender, silent
Defiant
Rain trickles down a lonely stone
Cold, wet, forever alone
I sit
Wait
I want to be alone, not lonesome
But with you
Alone

bright, sad misty light, seeping in, that impending feeling
Lost in thought. fear, isolation, lack of control
A lighthearted smile that once was, engulfed. the dark silhouette of walls, dark, bright light, wait, night

Sirene

A mermaid found a swimming lad
Picked him for her own,
Pressed her body to his body,
Laughed; and plunging down
Forgot in cruel happiness
That even lovers drown.

Sweden.

On job matters, I will no longer be working at MTL Tattoo after the 12th of April.
I will be doing 3 guest spots in Sweden, as well as traveling Europe for a totality of 2 months.
I apologize to future clients who have been thinking of getting ink done around the months of April, May, and June.
For all tattoo enquiries and information on my whereabouts, please keep updated on my Facebook page, blog, and website.
For those who would like to get tattooed anytime soon, you have a month to come see me at Mtl Tattoo. I cannot inform anyone at this point where I will be working after June.
Thank you all for understanding, and again I am sorry for any inconvenience.

I will be working at both Zoi Tattoo shops in Malmo and Stockholm, and Unikum in Goteborg. The rest of my trip will consist of music festivals and sight seeing in Denmark, Belgium, holland, and France.

Again, please keep posted! Thank you, Hilary xx

triangle.

Tonight's shoot with my good friend Millie.
I made this headress a little while ago, and never got to taking any pictures of it.
I knew Millie wouldbe perfect for it, and she blew me away.

Triangles for life, death and reincarnation, inspired by Native culture and philosophy.
I have wanted to do a shoot in this style for so long now, to celebrate my Canadian ancestors, as well as art, crafts and culture through photography.

Enjoy.

Ladies

So I recently did my first more or less real shoot as the photographer.
I studied photography in Cegep a few years back, but basically dropped out to tattoo full time, it just wasn't very stimulating.
Nevertheless, my passion for photography still maintained its importance in my life, and even more so in the past few months. Last year I bought my first professional camera, a Canon Rebel T3, mostly for my tattoo work, travels and some here and there photos of my face.
I constantly browse through blogs looking for inspirational photos, ideas, themes, and have been feeling pretty inspired. So I rallied up two of my coolest and most gore-geous girlfriends to model for me, none of them have any experience, but they were stoked about getting shot by me, and they did great.

I chose Stef for a more glamourous and pinup styled look, considering her bright red hair, and for Hannah, she inspired me to do something more witchcrafty, and satanic.

They did a great job!!! I am excited to have them model for me again soon.

Enjoy!
